I cannot attend, but it looks interesting.

What if your documentation spoke to your customers or anticipated their needs, smoothly blending into their daily routine? Perhaps your customers would say, in the words of a famous t-shirt slogan, "I Live In My Own Little World, but it's OK, they know me here"? While it may not be possible, or prudent, to live in your customer's world, there are techniques available to flesh out the marketing statistics and breathe life into the user data. First introduced by Alan Cooper in his book, The Inmates Are Running the Asylum, personas are practical, powerful, tools for the design of any communication. Originally intended as a software usability tool, personas have become a "must-have" tool for every communicator.

Join us for a presentation on personas and learn how to:

* Develop believable personas and anti-personas (and for that matter, learn what an anti-persona is and why use one).
* Separate your design target from your marketing and sales targets.
* Remove you from your work.

Ann looks forward to helping you add another persona to your creative team.
